1. The service
Otterlume, also known as Ruhepol, is an iPhone app for self-care and habits. It includes an otter companion, daily sessions with mood check-ins, breathing, exercises and gratitude, topic-based exercises, mood and sleep progress, and reminders. It is distributed through the App Store.
2. Not a treatment
The app does not diagnose, provide medical or psychotherapeutic advice, or promise recovery. It does not replace professional care. If you are struggling, contact a professional or a support service in your country. In immediate danger, call your local emergency number; in the European Union, call 112.
3. Subscription, pricing, and duration
Full access requires a Otterlume Plus subscription. Reference prices in euros are:
- 3 months for €34.99, billed every three months.
- 1 week for €9.99, billed weekly.
- After an abandoned purchase, an annual subscription for €14.99 may be offered as a special offer.
The applicable price is shown in your currency before purchase. There is no free trial. Your subscription begins and is charged when you subscribe.
- Payment is charged through your Apple Account.
- Your subscription renews automatically for the same period unless canceled at least 24 hours before the current period ends.
- Renewal is charged within the 24 hours before the current period ends.
- You can cancel in Settings → your name → Subscriptions. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current period.
- Apple handles refunds at reportaproblem.apple.com.
4. Withdrawal
Consumers generally have a 14-day right of withdrawal. For digital content supplied immediately, this right may end when performance begins with your express consent and the applicable legal requirements are met. Purchases are made through the App Store, are subject to Apple's terms, and requests are handled through Apple.
5. Prohibited use
- Reverse engineering or modifying the app, or bypassing its protection mechanisms, except as permitted by law.
- Sending automated bulk requests or systematically extracting content.
6. Content and rights
The design, text, exercises, otter, and notifications belong to us. Content you enter belongs to you and is stored on your device. Transfers required by specific features are explained in the Privacy Policy.
7. Liability
Liability is unlimited for intentional misconduct or gross negligence, injury to life, body, or health, and under product liability law. For slight negligence, liability is limited to breaches of essential contractual obligations and foreseeable damage typical of the contract. We do not guarantee permanent, uninterrupted availability. Mandatory consumer rights are unaffected.
8. Changes
We may change these terms for an objective reason, such as new features or changes in law. We will announce material changes in the app or on this page.
9. Governing law and jurisdiction
Austrian law applies, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. Mandatory consumer protections in your country of residence remain unaffected. As a consumer, you may bring proceedings where you live.
